Adriel Spencer Dies in 2-Car Collision on FM 1788 [Andrews County, TX]

Andrews County, TX (June 29, 2025) —A head-on collision in Andrews County claimed the life of Adriel Spencer and left another person injured on Friday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 11:00 a.m. on FM 1788.

Investigators said a 2022 Ford Cargo Van was traveling southbound when its driver, 22-year-old Spencer of Midland, attempted to pass another southbound vehicle in an unsafe area. The van crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F-150.

Spencer died at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford F-150 sustained minor injuries and was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
