2 Patrol Officers Transported in Phoenix Vehicle Crash
Phoenix, AZ (April 15, 2026) – 21-year-old Alan Sanchez was arrested following a 7th Avenue vehicle crash Monday.
According to the accident report, the collision happened on Indian School Road, wherein a car traveling in the opposite direction crashed into a patrol vehicle.
The rescuers transported one officer to a local hospital with serious injuries, while another officer was transported for precautionary reasons.
Moreover, the driver, Sanchez, refused to be hospitalized.
Police said Sanchez’s vehicle lost control and swerved into the center lane, striking the officers’ car.
Investigators do not consider DUI, but believe that speed could be a factors in the crash. Police booked Sanchez on charges related to the incident.
High-speed crashes can occur in the blink of an eye, but so many are preventable with small, intelligent decisions. Pay attention, don’t get distracted (say, by texting) and never drive after drinking. As ever – obey speed limits, buckle up and keep plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles. These are small enough measures to save lives — including your own.
We can all take steps to help keep our roads safe for ourselves, our families and our communities.
Crashes involving hazardous materials can pose serious risks to both drivers and nearby communities. Motorists should follow detours, avoid restricted areas, and drive cautiously near emergency scenes to ensure everyone’s safety.
