Injuries Reported in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Accident near First Street and Normal Avenue

FRESNO, CA (March 5, 2026) – Tuesday, a driver was hospitalized after an alarming 3-car crash near First Street and Normal Avenue.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at around 8:00 a.m. near First Street and Normal Avenue, north of McKinley Avenue.

Reports said a car traveling on First Street rear-ended a vehicle waiting in the pocket lane to turn onto Normal Avenue, pushing it into traffic. Another driver heading north on First Street said he swerved to avoid the vehicle and ended up crashing into a fence.

Resident Jack Henderson, who lives in an apartment at First and Normal, said he had just returned home after dropping off his wife and children when he learned about the crash. He said no one was inside the apartment at the time, and a nearby tree prevented the car from hitting the living room.

Police said the driver of the rear-ended vehicle reported pain and was taken to a nearby hospital.
