Injuries Reported in Glendale Vehicle Crash on Citrus Road and Glendale Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (December 24, 2025) – Monday morning, an alarming auto accident on Citrus Road and Glendale Avenue injured 2 people.

The incident happened just after midnight on Citrus Road and Glendale Avenue.

Deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle parked near several businesses at Citrus Road and Glendale Avenue, west of Loop 303. When they approached the car, which was displaying a fake license plate, the driver fled and entered Loop 303, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies ended the pursuit after the driver turned off the vehicle’s headlights in an attempt to evade them. Several minutes later, the car was located after it crashed into a pole near Glendale Avenue and El Mirage Road, roughly 10 miles from the initial encounter.

Firefighters pulled a woman from the red sedan at the crash scene. The passenger was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while the driver was taken into custody. The driver’s identity has not been released.
