3 People Hurt in Santa Monica Traffic Crash on Pico Boulevard and Main Street

SANTA MONICA, CA (October 12, 2025) – Friday night, an alarming auto accident on Pico Boulevard and Main Street injured 2 police officers.

The incident happened at about 9:14 p.m. on Pico Boulevard and Main Street.

“The collision involved a police vehicle with two Santa Monica Police officers and a second vehicle occupied by one driver,” police said on X. “All parties have been transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.”

The condition of the officers and the pickup truck driver remains unclear. Video from the scene showed the police cruiser with heavy front-end damage and the pickup truck badly damaged as well. Debris was scattered across the street.

Authorities have not released details about what led to the crash. The intersection was closed as first responders secured the area and cleared the wreckage.
