Injuries Reported in San Francisco Bicycle Accident near Velasco Avenue and Accacia Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 21, 2026) – Monday afternoon, an alarming bicycle crash near Velasco Avenue and Accacia Street injured 2.

The incident happened at 2:20 p.m. near Velasco Avenue and Accacia Street.

The San Francisco Fire Department said two cyclists were seriously injured after being struck by a Daly City police patrol car.

Both were taken to a hospital in serious condition.

According to Daly City police, the officer was traveling west on Velasco Avenue when the patrol vehicle hit an e-bike that was turning onto the street from the northbound direction. The e-bike had two riders, ages 18 and 19.

Police said there was no pursuit at the time of the crash. The San Francisco Police Department is handling the investigation.
