Columbia Auto Accident near 3000 Chapel Hill Road and Chapel Ridge Road

COLUMBIA, MO (August 3, 2026) – Sunday night, an alarming car crash near 3000 Chapel Hill Road and Chapel Ridge Road led to injuries.

The incident happened at about 7:20 p.m. near 3000 Chapel Hill Road and Chapel Ridge Road.

The crash involved a gray Nissan Kicks and a silver Buick Lucerne.

The Nissan Kicks was facing west in the eastbound lane, while the Buick Lucerne was facing east in the same lane. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage, and the Nissan’s airbags deployed.

An adult woman was transported from the scene by ambulance. The extent of her injuries was not immediately available.

The response included the Columbia Police Department, the Columbia Fire Department, and an MU Health Care ambulance. Boone County Joint Communications also warned motorists to use caution in the area.

Reports confirmed that both vehicles were towed from the scene after the crash.
