1 Person Hospitalized in Newhall Traffic Accident on 210 Freeway near 5 Freeway

NEWHALL, CA (February 25, 2026) – Saturday night, an alarming DUI crash on 210 Freeway near 5 Freeway injured one person.

The incident happened at around 8:15 p.m. on 210 Freeway near 5 Freeway.

According to the CHP Newhall Area Office, officers pulled over a possible DUI driver. Then, the driver started the vehicle and ran over an officer.

Moreover, responders transported the officer to Henry Mayo Hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the suspect was involved in another crash and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
