1 Person Arrested in San Diego Auto Accident on Collwood Boulevard and Montezuma Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 6, 2025) – Tuesday morning, an alarming DUI crash on Collwood Boulevard and Montezuma Road injured one person.

The incident started at around 5:00 a.m. when a black SUV ran a red light at Montezuma Road and Collwood Boulevard and refused to pull over for the police.

Moreover, the SUV fled the scene and collided with a blue vehicle two miles away at Collwood Boulevard and Montezuma Road.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated the male driver of the blue vehicle trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, but the victim was expected to be okay.

Furthermore, officers arrested the female driver of the SUV on suspicion of felony evasion and possible DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
