Injuries Reported in Imperial Beach Bicycle Accident on Imperial Beach Boulevard and California Street

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (December 23, 2025) – Saturday morning, a bicyclist sustained injuries in an alarming DUI crash on Imperial Beach Boulevard and California Street.

The incident happened at 2:40 a.m. on Imperial Beach Boulevard and California Street.

A bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a silver Chevrolet Malibu, according to Sgt. Luis Carrillo of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before transporting the minor to a hospital with critical injuries, Carrillo said.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Imperial Beach station at 619-498-2400.
