KANSAS CITY, MO (June 10, 2026) – On Tuesday morning, an alarming DUI crash on Independence Avenue and Garfield Avenue injured two people.

The incident happened at around 3:20 a.m. on Independence Avenue and Garfield Avenue.

According to reports, a westbound Honda Odyssey crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Chevrolet Impala.

Moreover, responders transported the driver of the Honda to a hospital with critical injuries. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Chevrolet to a hospital in stable condition.

Furthermore, officers believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
