3 People Hurt in Phoenix Auto Accident near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street

PHOENIX, AZ (May 28, 2026) – Monday night, an alarming gas tank crash near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street injured three people.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street.

According to reports, a car that refused to stop at a traffic stop collided with a semi-truck.

Moreover, responders transported one person to a hospital in stable condition. Also, two people sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities said that a 100-gallon gas tank was punctured during the crash, and Hazardous Materials crews were on scene to help with the leak.

Meanwhile, officers arrested the 18-year-old driver of the car for criminal speeding, reckless driving, and unlawful flight.
