Injuries Reported in Tempe Auto Accident on Alameda Drive and College Avenue

TEMPE, AZ (May 11, 2026) – Saturday morning, a 7-year-old child was hospitalized after alarming go-kart crash on Alameda Drive and College Avenue.

The incident involving an SUV and a go-kart happened just after 7:00 a.m. on Alameda Drive and College Avenue, near Mill and Southern Avenues.

A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while riding a battery-operated go-kart in a crosswalk, according to the Tempe Police Department.

Police said the child was crossing with a parent when a driver making a right turn hit the go-kart.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities partially closed the intersection while investigators worked to determine what led to the crash.
