PHOENIX, AZ (March 15, 2026) – Friday night, a man was hospitalized after an alarming hit-and-run crash near 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

The incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

Police arrived and found a man in the roadway with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Authorities said the driver involved left before officers arrived.

Preliminary information indicated the man had been crossing in a crosswalk against the signal when the vehicle struck him. Police said the driver did not stay or provide aid.
