1 Person Hospitalized in Castaic Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway and Hasley Canyon Road

CASTAIC, CA (November 20, 2025) – Friday night, authorities arrested Raymond Perez after an alarming hit-and-run crash on 5 Freeway and Hasley Canyon Road.

The incident happened on the 5 Freeway and Hasley Canyon Road.

According to reports, a Gray Nissan 350Z struck a person who was involved in a minor accident and was exchanging information with the other party. Then, the Nissan fled the scene after the collision.

Moreover, responders transported the victim to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Raymond Perez, for suspected DUI and hit-and-run. Also, authorities said that the suspect was very combative with law enforcement.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
