4 People Hurt in Lemon Grove Auto Accident on State Route 94 and Massachusetts Avenue

LEMON GROVE, CA (February 19, 2026) – Sunday night, an alarming hit-and-run crash on State Route 94 and Massachusetts Avenue injured four people.

The incident happened at around 8:06 p.m. on State Route 94 and Massachusetts Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound 2000 Lexus RX300 rear-ended a westbound 2006 Suzuki Aerio that was stopped at a red light. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Suzuki into a Chevrolet Blazer and a Honda Pilot that were also stopped at the red light.

Moreover, responders transported the 33-year-old female driver of the Suzuki with moderate injuries and her two juvenile passengers with major injuries to separate hospitals for treatment. Then, paramedics transported the female driver of the Chevrolet to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver of the Lexus fled the scene after the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
