WINNETKA, CA (January 1, 2025) – Thursday night, a 30-year-old man sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash on Vanowen Street and De Soto Avenue.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Vanowen Street and De Soto Avenue.

A man was struck by a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows while crossing Vanowen Street near De Soto Avenue, according to a police news release.

The driver of the sedan did not stop to provide aid or identify themselves and fled the scene after the collision.

The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Details about his injuries have not been disclosed.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the driver’s criminal conviction or a civil settlement.
