Man Hospitalized after Alarming Motorcycle Crash on Route B

Injuries Reported in Boone County Motorcycle Accident on Route B and Route HH

BOONE COUNTY, MO (September 30, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a Columbia man was hospitalized after an alarming motorcycle crash on Route B and Route HH.

The incident happened at 7:50 a.m. on Route B, south of Route HH.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after his motorcycle struck the rear of a stopped Tesla in Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the crash report, the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja hit the rear of a stopped 2019 Tesla Model S. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the rider, and then slid off the left side of the roadway before coming to rest.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to a hospital with serious injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, MSHP said.

The Tesla driver, a 77-year-old Columbia woman, was not injured.
