JACKSON COUNTY, MO (April 1, 2026) – Monday morning, an alarming multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 and Mile Marker 27.6 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 10:15 a.m. on Interstate 70 and Mile Marker 27.6.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle rear-ended a car for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the car to strike another vehicle and a tractor-trailer truck.

Moreover, responders transported the 92-year-old male driver of the first vehicle to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
