Injuries Sustained in Oakland Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 880 and 23rd Avenue
OAKLAND, CA (March 17, 2026) – Monday morning, an alarming multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 880 and 23rd Avenue led to minor injuries.
The incident involving two passenger vehicles and the tractor-trailer happened at about 4:00 a.m. on Interstate 880 and 23rd Avenue.
A jackknifed semi-truck carrying dishwashers and two cars were involved in the crash.
The truck’s cab remained upright, but the trailer sustained significant damage. One of the cars was spun around and ended up facing the center divider.
The truck driver said he was not injured but declined further comment. Authorities said there were minor injuries reported, though it’s still unclear how the crash happened.
By 6:30 a.m., the two cars had been cleared, and the semi-truck was uprighted and moved from the scene.
