The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of East Broadway and Paloma Avenue, Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Bradford Stein said.

The woman was walking on Broadway when she was struck by a passing vehicle that fled the scene, according to Stein. A description of the vehicle was not provided.
