4 People Hurt in Culver City Pedestrian Accident on Centinela Avenue and Washington Boulevard

CULVER CITY, CA (June 18, 2026) – Tuesday night, Juan Luis Estrada was arrested after an alarming pedestrian crash on Centinela Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

The incident started at around 7:00 p.m., when a vehicle struck a pedestrian, then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid. Then, the vehicle tried to fill up at a gas station, fled and struck three more pedestrians.

According to reports, the suspect vehicle, a white car, fled again and struck four more people, including a 19-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the street.

Moreover, responders transported the victims, ages 15 to 70 years old, sustained non-life threatening to serious injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Juan Luis Estrada of Perris, after the vehicle crashed at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, officers said that reports revealed that the suspect appeared to be intentionally trying to run over the victims for still unknown reasons.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
