Injuries Reported in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on La Manda Boulevard near Base Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 28, 2026) – Monday morning, a 41-year-old man was injured in an alarming pedestrian crash on La Manda Boulevard near Base Road.

The incident happened at about 10:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of La Manda Boulevard, which is located near Basse Road.

A preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department says a pedestrian was walking across the street when they were struck by a vehicle reversing.

Police at the scene said a Dodge Ram pickup was backing up and ran over the man with its rear tires. Responders found a 41-year-old man underneath the truck when they arrived.

The driver, described as a man in his 30s to 40s, remained at the scene. Authorities have not said if charges will be filed.

Police said the victim was conscious at the scene, but his condition has not been confirmed. The investigation is ongoing.
