Injuries Reported in Colorado Springs Pedestrian Accident on North Circle Drive and Galley Road

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (January 14, 2026) – Tuesday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on North Circle Drive and Galley Road led to the arrest of Victor Langhart.

The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at about 6:14 p.m. on North Circle Drive and Galley Road.

Police said the driver initially left the scene but was later located by officers.

Investigators said a dark-colored Ford pickup turned right from northbound North Circle Drive onto eastbound Galley Road and struck a pedestrian who was crossing Galley Road northbound. Police said witnesses reported the vehicle did not change driving behavior after the impact.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. After locating the vehicle, officers said the driver, identified as Victor Langhart, admitted to the hit-and-run. He was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

Jail records showed Langhart was being held on a $3,000 bond. Northbound North Circle Drive at Galley Road and eastbound Galley Road from Yampa to North Circle Drive were temporarily closed during the investigation. All lanes reopened by 7:23 p.m.

Police said speed and alcohol were not believed to be factors. The investigation remained ongoing.
