2 People Hurt in Alarming Pedestrian Crash on O’Farrel Street and Cyril Magnin Street [San Francisco, CA]

Injuries Reported in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on O’Farrel Street and Cyril Magnin Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 10, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, an alarming pedestrian crash on O’Farrel Street and Cyril Magnin Street hurt two people.

The incident happened when a pickup truck crashed into a light pole, while also striking two people walking on the street or sidewalk. It happened at 12:24 p.m. on O’Farrel Street and Cyril Magnin Street, in front of The Handlery Union Square Hotel. 

According to police, several pedestrians were injured after being struck by a pickup truck.

The victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The impact was strong enough to knock down a street sign, while video from the scene showed a tow truck removing the damaged pickup.

The driver remained at the scene. Police have not determined what caused the crash or exactly where the pedestrians were when they were struck.
