Man Injured in Alarming Pedestrian Crash on S Avenue B

Injuries Reported in Yuma Pedestrian Accident on S Avenue B and W County 16 3/8 Street

YUMA, AZ (March 12, 2026) – Monday morning, a man sustained injuries in an alarming pedestrian crash on S Avenue B and W County 16 3/8 Street.

The incident happened at around 2:20 a.m. on S Avenue B and W County 16 3/8 Street.

Deputies arrived and found a man in the roadway with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Investigators said the pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing, had been walking northbound when a vehicle traveling south on Avenue B hit him. Authorities said the driver contacted law enforcement about the incident.

Rural Metro Fire transported the man to Onvida Health with serious injuries.

Officials said speed and alcohol were not factors. The investigation remained ongoing.
