2 Women Injured in Alarming Police Patrol Crash on Highway 59 [Laredo, TX]

Injuries Reported in Laredo Auto Accident on Highway 59

LAREDO, TX (December 18, 2025) – Tuesday morning, an alarming police chase crash on Highway 59 injured 2 women.

The incident involving a United ISD police patrol unit happened at about 11:29 a.m. in the 5000 block of Highway 59.

Police said officers arrived to find a gray Chevrolet Traverse with rear bumper damage and a marked UISD Police patrol unit, a Dodge Charger, with front-end damage.

Investigators determined the Traverse was traveling northbound in the 2400 block of Loop 20 and was attempting to turn east onto Highway 59 when the patrol unit rear-ended it at the yield point of the intersection.

The 46-year-old driver of the Traverse and her 47-year-old passenger were treated at the scene but declined further medical care. The 62-year-old UISD police officer was not injured.
