3 People Hurt in Cape Girardeau County Auto Accident on Highway 25 near Route K

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (April 28, 2025) – Sunday morning, an alarming rollover crash on Highway 25 near Route K injured three people.

The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. on Highway 25 north of Route K.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound car veered to the left side of the road for still unknown reasons. Then, the vehicle struck an embankment and rolled over.

Moreover, responders transported the 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle to Cape Girardeau Hospital with serious injuries. Then, paramedics transported two passengers of the vehicle, a 15-year-old Jackson boy and a 16-year-old Cape Girardeau boy, to Cape Girardeau Hospital, both with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
