Lanes Closed after Colorado Springs Auto Accident on Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (December 29, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, an alarming rollover crash on Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue led to injuries.

The incident happened just before 5:25 p.m. on Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue.

Investigators determined that a white Chrysler 300 was traveling eastbound on Truman Road when it ran a red light at Paseo Boulevard. At the same time, a gray Jeep was traveling southbound on Paseo with a green light.

The Chrysler struck the Jeep on the driver’s side, causing both rear-seat passengers in the Jeep to be ejected through a window. The driver of the Chrysler was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is being investigated for DUI.

One rear-seat passenger in the Jeep was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the other rear-seat passenger fled the scene on foot. The driver and front-seat passenger of the Jeep were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
