LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (January 7, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, an alarming school bus crash on Highway V and Whippoorwill Trail injured two people.

The incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on Highway V and Whippoorwill Trail.

According to reports, the crash involved a bus that was operated by the Lincoln County R-III School District

Moreover, responders transported a staff member to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Then, parents transported a student to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed both directions of Highway V.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department continued investigating the crash.
