Drivers Injured in Alarming T-Bone Crash on 29th Street

Injuries Reported in Joplin Auto Accident on 29th Street and S Main Street

JOPLIN, MO (February 5, 2026) – Monday afternoon, an alarming t-bone crash on 29th Street and S Main Street injured two drivers.

The incident happened just after 3:15 p.m. on 20th Street and S Main Street.

Joplin Police, Fire, and METS Ambulance responded to the crash.

Officers learned at the scene that a Jasper County deputy was involved. Both drivers were taken to area hospitals as a precaution.

Police said the deputy was traveling east on 20th Street, while the passenger car was traveling south on Main Street. The crash remains under investigation.

The intersection was cleared of traffic in about 60 minutes after Comer’s Towing removed the vehicles and debris.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
