ANGELS CAMP, CA (January 11, 2026) – Saturday morning, an alarming traffic crash on State Route 49 and Redhill Road led to minor injuries.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on State Route 49 and Redhill Road.

A reporting party told authorities she believed she heard a collision in the area. CHP units responded and initially searched before finding a vehicle about 300 feet down a ditch off the roadway.

The incident was first reported as a collision with unknown injuries and was later updated by CHP as a traffic collision involving minor injuries. Emergency medical services were requested, and CAL FIRE was contacted for assistance. Authorities also asked about one-way traffic control.
