Truck Falls 100 Feet Down Cliff in Humboldt County Auto Accident near South Jetty Road and Table Bluff Road

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (February 10, 2025) – Sunday morning, an alarming truck crash near South Jetty Road and Table Bluff Road led to injuries.

The incident happened just before 8:00 a.m. when a truck fell approximately 100 feet down a cliff near South Jetty Road and Table Bluff Road.

Emergency responders reported that two occupants were inside the vehicle. One occupant was described as “partially responsive.” Firefighters arriving at the scene had to clear a path to reach the vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that the vehicle involved was a truck, though the make and model have not been released.

By 9:25 a.m., CHP updated the incident to a major-injury accident. A patient was extracted from the vehicle and placed in an ambulance, with reports indicating that they were breathing.

At 9:40 a.m., scanner traffic indicated that an injured woman found inside the truck may not have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Officials noted uncertainty over whether the occupants had been driving when the vehicle fell. 

The woman was found in the back of the truck, suggesting she had been thrown around inside the vehicle.

By 9:45 a.m., one of the patients was rescued and airlifted from the scene.
