2 People Hurt in Phelan Auto Accident on Phelan Road and Baldy Mesa Road

PHELAN, CA (December 1, 2024) – Friday morning, an alarming two-vehicle crash on Phelan Road and Baldy Mesa Road injured two.

The incident happened at around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Phelan Road and Baldy Mesa Road.

According to reports, an eastbound Toyota traveling at a high rate of speed ran a red light and struck a Honda that was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Baldy Mesa Road.

Moreover, responders transported the 21-year-old female driver of the Honda to a local hospital with minor injuries. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Toyota to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, authorities said that the male driver of the Toyota Corolla was involved in an earlier hit-and-run crash and was suspected of DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
