LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO (September 21, 2026) – Thursday night, 2 girls sustained injuries in an alarming UTV crash on Dover Cemetery Road and South Mill Street.

The incident involving a UTV happened just after 6:00 p.m. near Dover Cemetery Road and South Mill Street.

Two girls were seriously injured after a UTV overturned while trying to avoid an animal in the roadway in Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The UTV was being driven by a 12-year-old girl from Dover when she attempted to avoid the animal and lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Moreover, the driver and her 9-year-old passenger from Lexington both suffered serious injuries. They were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for treatment.
