ELK GROVE, CA (May 28, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, an Elk Grove police officer was involved in an alarming vehicle crash at Kerr Middle School on Elk Grove Boulevard.

The incident involving the officer and another vehicle happened at about 12:30 p.m. in front of Kerr Middle School on Elk Grove Boulevard, the Elk Grove Police Department said.

Authorities said the officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and was later reported to be in okay condition.

No other injuries were reported in the incident. Officials also confirmed that Elk Grove Boulevard has reopened.
