MORENO VALLEY, CA (June 2, 2026) – Monday afternoon, an alarming vehicle crash on Interstate 215 and Van Buren Boulevard led to lane closure.

The incident involving an SUV and a pickup truck happened just before 1:00 p.m. on southbound Interstate 215 and Van Buren Boulevard.

The agency said the two vehicles collided, causing a pickup truck to roll over at least once in the No. 3 lane. No additional details were immediately available.

Crews from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived within minutes and checked occupants in both vehicles for injuries, but no one required medical treatment, according to reports from the scene.

The California Highway Patrol closed three of four southbound lanes to clear debris and conduct a preliminary investigation. A SigAlert was issued due to the resulting traffic congestion.

Officials said all lanes were expected to reopen by around 2:30 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
