AUSTIN, TX (May 24, 2026) – Saturday noon, an alarming vehicle crash on US Highway 183 near Riverside Drive sent 3 people to the hospital.

The incident happened just before noon on the US Highway 183 southbound service road near Riverside Drive.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said one adult was flown by Star Flight to South Austin with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Two pediatric patients with minor injuries were also transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center.

ATCEMS warned drivers to expect delays in the area and urged the public to remain alert for first responders still working on the roadway.
