18-Year-Old Albert Castanon Dies in Tragic Crash on Bijou Street [Colorado Springs, CO]

Colorado Springs, CO (June 27, 2025) – 18-year-old Albert Castanon was killed and a motorist was hospitalized after a tragic crash on Bijou Street

According to authorities, the deadly collision happened at 12:21 p.m. on the 2400 Block of Bijou Street.

Reports say that a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Friday killed one person and injured another in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received notification of the crash.

Emergency personnel determined the motorcycle rider, identified as Castanon, died at the scene.

Paramedics transported the car driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The initial investigation by CSPD’s Major Crash Team indicates Castanon, riding a black motorcycle, was traveling westbound on Bijou Street when he struck a white Nissan sedan exiting Platte Place, driving southbound.

Witnesses reportedly told police the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, though Castanon was wearing a helmet. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office officially identified Castanon. This remains an ongoing investigation.
