Alberto Ochoaaguilar Injured in Fatal Crash on Albers Road [Modesto, CA]

Modesto, CA (December 12, 2025) — A 55-year-old Modesto man died, and 23-year-old Alberto Ochoaaguilar of Winton was hurt early Thursday after a head-on collision on Albers Road just south of Dusty Lane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. and involved a 2016 Chrysler sedan and a 1999 Nissan pickup.

CHP investigators reported that the Chrysler, driven by Ochoaaguilar, was heading south when it moved into the northbound lane and struck the Nissan head-on. The Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Ochoaaguilar sustained major injuries and was taken to Oak Valley Hospital for treatment. Both drivers were properly restrained during the crash. CHP has not yet determined whether impairment played a role.

Albers Road was briefly closed for the investigation, and traffic delays were minimal. The case remains under review.
