1 Killed and Injuries Reported in Mendota Traffic Accident on West Panoche Road and Highway 33

 
MENDOTA, CA (July 7, 2022) – On Tuesday, Alberto Rojas sustained injuries in a deadly two-vehicle crash on West Panoche Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on West Panoche Road and Highway 33.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound 2001 Toyota Sienna collided with the right side of a westbound Nissan Sentra. Also, the crash happened as the Nissan attempted to cross Highway 33 after stopping at a stop sign.
 
Moreover, responders rushed a 32-year-old female passenger of the Nissan to Community Regional Hospital in Fresno. However, she later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
 
Also, responders transported the driver of the Nissan, 32-year-old Alberto Rojas, and another female passenger to Madera Community Regional Hospital. Both of them sustained major injuries. Then, two passengers of the Toyota, a 59-year-old man, and a 62-year-old man, went to Community Regional Hospital in Fresno with moderate injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the Toyota driver, 55-year-old Santos Valentin, a 26-year-old male passenger of the Nissan, and a 43-year-old male passenger of the Toyota sustained minor injuries. All of them refused further treatment at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
