Eastland County, TX (November 30, 2025) — On Wednesday evening, a passenger was hurt while a driver, identified as 53-year-old Alejandro Espino Vazques of El Paso was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-20.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened on Interstate 20 near mile marker 344 around 6:40 p.m.

Reports say that Vazques was driving west on I-20 when his vehicle veered into the center median. The car struck a cable barrier, then overcorrected, crossed the westbound lanes, overturned, and crashed into a light pole. Vazques was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities say that a passenger in the vehicle was airlifted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment. No additional details have been released.
