Passenger Alejandro Gaytan Dead in CR 105 Vehicle Crash

Injuries Reported in Gaines County Deadly Vehicle Crash

Gaines County, TX (February 10, 2026) – Alejandro Gaytan, 43, of Seminole, was killed in a CR 105 vehicle crash before Sunday noon.

It was past 11 a.m. on February 8 when the deadly collision occurred at the intersection with County Road 104.

Officers said the driver of a northbound 2021 Ford F-250 on County Road 105 failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed onto a westbound 2000 Chevrolet Silverado on County Road 104.

Gaytan was a passenger in the Chevrolet, and was not wearing a seat belt.

Rescuers rushed Gaytan to Seminole Hospital, where he was declared deceased.

The Chevrolet driver, Alfredo Flores from Seminole, was also not wearing a seat belt during the collision. Rescuers rushed him to University Medical Center in Lubbock. Officers said he sustained serious injuries.

Moreover, the Ford driver, a 17-year-old male from Seminole, and his 17-year-old male passenger, were wearing seat belts. They did not sustain injuries.

Troopers are investigating this deadly vehicle crash.
