23-Year-Old Los Angeles Man Dies Two Weeks After Long Beach Crash
Long Beach, CA (September 4, 2026) — 23-year-old Alejandro Munoz of Los Angeles died from injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle crash in Long Beach nearly two weeks earlier, police announced Wednesday.
Reports say that Munoz sustained serious injuries around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the intersection of Hayes Avenue and Anaheim Street.
Police said Munoz was driving a 2017 Cadillac CTS and attempted a U-turn near the intersection when his vehicle collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on Anaheim Street.
The Silverado driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities said they do not currently believe alcohol, drugs, distraction, or impairment contributed to the collision.
Police learned Friday that Munoz had succumbed to his injuries.
Sweet Lawyers extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Alejandro Munoz. We hope they find strength and comfort as they mourn this tragic loss.
When a Fatal Accident Changes Life Forever
Losing a loved one in a sudden crash is devastating. The grief can feel overwhelming, and for many families, that emotional pain is compounded by unexpected financial pressures—medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income or support your loved one once provided.
In moments like these, it’s important to know that you are not alone. A wrongful death claim can help families find a sense of justice and financial stability after an unimaginable loss. While no legal action can ever replace the person you’ve lost, it can provide accountability and help protect your family’s future.
Wrongful death claims can help families recover compensation for:
- Funeral and burial expenses
- Medical costs related to final care
- Lost income and future financial support
- Loss of companionship and emotional suffering
Beyond financial relief, pursuing a claim is often about accountability. Whether a crash was caused by distracted driving, speeding, or another form of negligence, holding the responsible party accountable can help bring closure and reduce the risk of similar tragedies happening to others.
At Sweet Lawyers, we understand how overwhelming this time can be. Our experienced wrongful death and personal injury attorneys have spent decades supporting families through some of life’s most difficult moments. We approach every case with care, respect, and a deep commitment to justice.
