Motorcyclist Alejandro Ruiz Leon Dead in Collision on W Valencia Road [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZ (July 7, 2026) – Alejandro Ruiz Leon, a 34-year-old motorcyclist from Tucson, was killed in a traffic collision on W Valencia Road early Sunday morning.

Troopers said a 2017 Harley-Davidson driven by Leon was westbound on Valencia Road when it struck a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck that turning left from the eastbound lanes. 

Immediately, rescuers rushed Leon and his female passenger to a hospital, where Leon was declared dead.

Police said the female passenger sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers confirmed Leon was not wearing a helmet during the collision, while his passenger was wearing one. 

Moreover, the pickup truck’s driver and passenger were medically treated at the crash scene and did not require to be hospitalized. 

Police determined Leon’s speed and impairment caused the collision.
