22-Year-Old Alexander Gonzalo Dead in Collision on W 5th Street [Austin, TX]

Man Dead in Scooter Accident in Austin

Austin, TX (November 18, 2025) Alexander Gonzalo, 22, was fatally injured following a collision on W 5th Street early Saturday morning.

The deadly crash happened around 1:29 a.m. on November 15 in downtown Austin.

Troopers said Gonzalo was riding a scooter when he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection with Rio Grande Street. He was rushed to a hospital wherein he was declared dead the following day.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene, was not impaired and cooperated with the investigation.
