Alexus McCormick of Waco Dead in Speegleville Road Vehicle Crash [McLennan County, TX]

McLennan County, TX (October 4, 2025) – 20-year-old Alexus McCormick, of Waco, was killed following a Speegleville Road vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Texas DPS officers responded around 9 a.m. to a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection with McLennan Crossing Road.

Investigators determined that a dump truck was traveling south on Speegleville Road. At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu drove into the intersection from McLennan Crossing Road and failed to yield the right of way to the dump truck.

The Chevrolet driver, Alexus McCormick, was rushed to an area hospital, where she later died. 

Moreover, the dump truck driver was rushed to a local hospital.
