Buckeye, AZ (April 25, 2023) – Monday morning, 25-year-old Alfonso Martinez Jr. died, and a woman sustained critical injuries in a head-on crash on Baseline Road.

The fatal head-on crash on Baseline Road in Buckeye happened around 6:30 a.m. on April 24. 

Buckeye Police said Martinez Jr. was on Baseline Road when he collided head-on with a woman driving west of Turner Road. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.

Martinez Jr. died at the scene. 

EMS rushed the woman to a hospital in critical condition. The driver of the third car remain uninjured. 

No additional information is immediately available.

Further investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
