Tesla Driver Allen Carey Injured in SR 108/120 Deadly Crash

Subaru Driver Dead in Modesto Head-On Crash

Modesto, CA (February 21, 2026) – A 28-year-old Tesla driver from Ceres, Allen Carey, and his three passengers, were injured in a SR 108/120 deadly crash Thursday afternoon.

It was before 3 p.m. when the deadly crash happened west of Kennedy Road.

Officers said a gray 2013 Subaru sedan crossed over the solid double yellow lines. The Subaru then crashed head-on with a 2019 Tesla sedan.

The driver of the Subaru was killed at the scene.

Carey of Ceres, and his passengers, Caleb Saenz, 26, of Modesto, Serenity Bloom, 24, of Manteca, and Danielle Carey, 28, of Ceres, sustained major injuries.

The rescuers rushed all of them to a hospital.

CHP confirmed everyone was wearing seatbelts when the collision happened.

In the meantime, officers are still investigating and stated that it is still unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
