Allison Armstrong Hurt in Interstate 225 Collision [Aurora, CO]

Aurora, CO (September 22, 2026) — Toledo Fire and Rescue Chief Allison Armstrong suffered significant injuries after a hit-and-run crash at about 9:23 p.m. Friday on northbound Interstate 225 near Mississippi Avenue in Aurora, Colorado.

Armstrong was traveling to Colorado Springs for a firefighters memorial event when another vehicle struck her rental SUV from behind. The impact sent her vehicle into a concrete barrier.
